Yoga Shala (practice hall)

The second floor, the Yoga Shala (a place to practice
yoga, tai chi, movement or music), welcomes you into an expansive
1200 square foot yoga practice hall with a 16 foot (4.85 meter) high
ceiling with long overhanging roof eaves. Its hardwood floor provides
comfort to bare feet. The fanned rafters above give way to rising,
cloud burst, roof eaves that encourage a free-flowing feeling with
a sense of no beginning nor end inherent in traditional culture.
This hall is ideal for movement arts such as Yoga, Tai-Chi, and
dance; the acoustics due to the parabolic shape of the roof are
incredible for music and singing as well! This floor is great for
hammock lounging too! At the north side of the Lapa Lapa Lodge,
there is a wooden staircase, with swirled hardwood steps that leads
up to the observatory and meditation cupola. Behind the stairs with
large open windows overlooking the gardens are located two guest
rooms with indoor bath. There is also a massage room and study and
the high ceilings allow the warm air to rise, keeping the rooms
and halls cool in the heat of the tropical day.
At Guaria de Osa various types of healing modalities are offered
such as: Healing with local medicinal plants, Tui Na -therapeutic
massage, foot reflexology and Reiki are also gifts the staff can
offer.
